When buying Guard Booths consider the following buying tips that can save you thousands.
Freight Rates: Buy Local, freight rates on preassembled guard booths can sometimes cost as much as the booth.
Skin type: Stainless Steel Guardbooths are extremely expensive, They offer the same life as Aluminum , Powder Coat Steel Guardbooths however aluminum or weather resistant painted steel cost much less. We also manufacture booths to match your booths surroundings.
Buy Standard Sizes: Size matters bigtime when it comes to cost. Order standard size booths, 4×5 and 4×6 booths are ideal for 99% of all units.
Air Conditioning and Heating, Order the factory recommended size for your booth. Many times the requistioner asks for a unit that will keep a school bus comfortable.
Ballistic Rated Guard Booths: in todays times what ballistics rating is safe?? We cannot answer that question, But if you need ballistic rated booths we manufacture them. Always include the roof, and sides for your ballistic requests.
Tinting, We recommend tinting all LE booths, Keep the bad guys guessing as to if the booth is attended or not. Low cost and worth it.
Bollards: Low cost protection, Surround the corners with bollards as shown in the picture.
Sliding Window: Ask for a slide window on both ends of the booth to avoid having to open the door to talk to people.
Inside the Booth: Request slip resistant floors, Counter and drawer.
Concrete Base: Have a concrete base installed before delivery, It should have a 12 inch perimeter on each side of the booth.
Sliding Doors: Depending on your location, Does the officer need access from both sides? If so order a slide door on each side. Normally on slide door is ordered.
We provide these tips to provide maximum safety for the Officers and to keep the cost down. The last thing you want to here is that management will not provide raises because they bought over specified booths.
